Finding flights can be a time consuming and irritating experience, but Hipmunk makes it much easier.
Hipmunk exchanges a super beautiful interface for a simplistic, easy-to-access user experience. The interface of Hipmunk won’t win any prizes for design, but it would for usability.
Potential fliers can choose the dates of travel, different airline seating classes, and number of passengers and are given a list of flights.
The way Hipmunk stands out is the addition of the agony filter. Essentially showing how long the overall trip would take including layovers, users are given the option to see an overall flight in a visual form compared to other flights. Other filters include price, departure and arrival times.
Another interesting addition is that Hipmunk thought about the ease of buying a flight through a mobile device and added the option of completing the transaction through a browser with a supplied code of the choices a user has made. It is a simple system that does not take a long time to complete.
Hipmunk is a great app with a good twist with the included 'agony' filter. Most people will probably choose their flights with this in mind and use the price as the secondary decision maker.
It might look really simple, but Hipmunk makes finding flights really simple.
